The Pendulum Experiment

As we spend time with our friends and loved ones, it is easy to notice many conversations include similar comments such as: “Gee, life sure has been intense lately,” or, “I sure have been experiencing a lot of challenges,” or “Things seem to be speeding up, and events have been pretty difficult.”

From one person’s perspective, current times could seem to be presenting pretty chaotic life events that are unrelated but full of unfortunate circumstances. From another vantage point, one could imagine an inner connected dance that gains momentum as it weaves through everyone’s experiences.

The following is a demonstration of a pendulum wave that was initiated by a single movement, and offers an example worth reflecting on.

A Pendulum Wave

In this demonstration, a single motion started the movement that affected each individual pendulum. If we viewed each ball separately, we would notice its movement and not think of its connection to the other balls. We would never notice any synchronicity. But when viewing all the pendulums, we can see how one action affects all the balls both individually and as a whole. At some points, the pendulum’s movement completely seems chaotic. However, it quickly becomes obvious they are connected as the movement flows into a pattern.

Filling The Space with Your Light

Heart CenterWhen I reflected on the pendulum experiment, it got me thinking about the effects of being happy or unhappy.

When we are unhappy and stuck in a fearful state due to what we notice out in the world, what we broadcast to those around us is that we live in a pretty scary place.

What if instead we punctuated our fear by embracing how we feel and then moved into a heart space? We could then take a deep breath, and move our fear into a lighter place that is capable of transforming our state. Then, with a sense of our inner light, we could turn toward another and share our light. It makes sense that this light would ripple and have an impact on others.

To help, take a moment and breathe in your fears. As Alana shares in the Seven Sacred Steps, place your hand on your heart, and let your heart transform these fears. The following video provided by WildDivine is a delightful reminder to also shine your light.

Tips for Getting Paid to Play

I was corresponding with a friend regarding her career and life purpose. She’s very intuitive, talented, and hard working. However, she’s had many job struggles—like most of us—bridging into work that truly gives her joy.

It’s important to remember that it’s just an illusionary perception that one’s purpose and making money are opposites. Polarity perceptions like “business = money” and “spiritual = poverty” create confusion.

Read on to discover some of the insights we discussed.

Gleaming Hints of Joy

When you have hints regarding what brings you the most joy—your purpose—and take consistent, playful action, you begin to move the energy toward creation.

Your life’s purpose often isn’t what your mind perceives it to be. You can’t know what it is until you’re immersed in the energy of pleasant action (yes, there are sometimes “hard” parts too).

When you are moving in the fun of what you love, the next steps open up from there—and they’re most often a surprise.

Letting Go, Moving Into Play

Person Making PotteryAt first, let go of any business model or structured plan. Creative career healing begins as you move toward mastery of activities you love to do. Then, as you lay the foundation by becoming skilled at thoughts and actions that bring value to others, others will pay you well to play well.

People love to flow money to people who are doing what they love, and thus providing positive benefits. But don’t focus on providing positive benefits at the outset. Start with immersing yourself, as much as you can, in experiments that give you feedback on what you LOVE to be, do, and have.

You may think you know your purpose, but perhaps your mind is in the way. You have hints, but too much thought and too little action create a kind of mental constipation; analysis paralysis. Our minds don’t really have a clue at first. Ask your mind’s money-making worries and previously-reinforced strategies to sit quietly on the sidelines and . . . watch. Then, as you continue creating with the energy of enjoyment, your mind will move from passive observer to excited fan!

The world is full of people with money who will pay you well to play, since they will receive positive benefits from your expressions.

Using Your Enthusiasm to Build Energy

Perhaps you need “a job” to pay the bills as you explore. So be it. Do that job each day with as much positive, enthusiastic energy as you can muster to avoid job struggles.

If that job is funding your “life purpose discovery experiments,” do that job well and create gratitude for the opportunity. Find ways to do your current work exquisitely and with joy. This energy will act as a powerful magnet to attract work that you will find to be even more fulfilling.

The key is to discover what you LOVE to do by taking small, experimental action steps each day, and then doing more and more of what feels really good to you.

Learning Into a Process for Expanding Awareness

The following question to and answer from Alana provides insight into the power of intention.

When we direct our intention through our attentive focus on actions like prayer or working with healing modalities it gives us opportunity to learn how to work with all facets of our being.

In this instance, the questioner is concerned that her body’s responses are not to be fully trusted.

Question for Alana: When I sit in a temple, or I move into a state of prayer, or even when I do something like Reiki or Pranayama my body responds in an unusual way.

My head or whole body begins to sway in circular fashion. The feeling is beautiful, but people around me do not feel comfortable as they think something strange has taken me over, or something has a hold of me.

Sometimes my body even trembles or shakes. I can also get very emotional. All this is beautiful for me but it is not acceptable to my family and peers. Can you please explain what may be happening to me, and if this is a distraction that keeps me from following my path.

Opening to Greater Spiritual Energy

Waves of EnergyAlana’s Answer: This is a wonderful question! The act of focusing the mind on a specific intent like when in prayer, or when practicing a healing technique can create physical responses in your body.

A sensation of calmness, or a feeling of lightness is very common when we enter mild trance states. Some individuals notice additional physical changes.

For example, the practice of meditation builds on one’s ability to quiet the mind and move their awareness to a peaceful state, free from external distractions. When centering the body and letting go the active state of consciousness relaxes and a higher perception begins to open to greater spiritual energy. It is not uncommon for the body to physically respond in some way to facilitate the release of any stress, or blocked energy to support this higher intent.

Some people perceive this shift we can call “letting go” as a transformative state that frees us up to expand into a greater awareness of our higher self and eventually the nature of universal love. The more expanded we become the deeper the trance state.

When we fill ourselves up with spirit (or whatever name you choose) our higher awareness guides us while in this trance and we can begin to consciously sense our connection to: universal love, the void, all that is, emptiness and fullness, universal intelligence, god, divine light and information, or as a quantum theorist might state, the zero point field.

Are all Physical Sensations Blocked Energy?

Flowing EnergyThere are different schools of thought on how to facilitate this shift. And there are also different perceptions on how to work with the release of any physical blocks, or bodily responses.

A meditator might determine the physical responses are necessary as they occur, but to not focus on them because that keeps the mind actively engaged in the physical world. An energy healer might sense the response as validation that something is shifting, and use it to heighten the receptivity to intuitive information. Yet, an individual who is working with an energy medicine modality or a consciousness technique may interpret it as “entanglement” and use the state to promote change and transformation.

I think the key is to “allow” and not judge that anything is wrong but ask for greater insight. We all channel and receive information; we enter into trance states all the time. Some people will notice when they “drop down,” or “expand their awareness,”  or connect to a higher power such as in prayer. Their body will respond. This is wonderful because your nature is wanting you to notice a change. When we notice something different it allows us to move past what we know into resourceful states.

Creating a Resourceful State

A few great questions to ask when physical body responses accompany an intention to help or heal are:

  • How can this be useful?
  • What am I wanting to learn?
  • How can this help me facilitate my intention?

Heart CenterThen follow the guidance you receive. There is nothing to fear. Your connected nature is conspiring on your behalf and the person, issue, or intent of which you are focusing. All you need to do is remain centered in your heart, while listening to the answers that come to your mind. This is called heart/mind listening!

When you hear the answers with your heart open you will remain connected to your higher awareness and the physical responses will be useful and not become a distraction.

So dear one, do not fear how your body is responding. If you are moving blocked energy to allow you to expand, that is good! Let it move. If you doing energy work and have a physical response then allow greater intuitive guidance to flow through you. And if you are working with a consciousness technology, like an energy medicine technique the physics term called “entanglement” is a natural phenomena where we experience our connection to all that is.

The more you work with the above questions, the more you will perceive how wise and brilliant your body is, and how it’s response wants to guide you.

Channeled Insights on the Nature of Intention

When you look up the root of the word “intention” in the dictionary you find:

intend: have (a course of action) as one’s purpose or objective; plan.

Building on that definition you can now describe intention (noun) as: a thing intended as an aim or plan; the action or fact of  intending (verb).

With this description you can gain an idea of what “your intention” in any given situation may communicate, but the dictionary definition falls short in conveying the essence of what an intention does when fueled by the deep seated nature within you that makes an intention such a powerful presence.

So now let’s ask: Why is intention so powerful when it comes to the laws of manifestation and the ability to funnel energy to transform our lives?

The Essence of Intention

One day we had the opportunity for Kirk to chat with Alana on the topic of manifestation. During the discourse we were surprised to receive an in-depth answer from the very vibration, frequency, or “essence of intention.” For the sake of giving the voice that shared the following information a personal name, it presented itself as “Ra.”

Interpreting channeled information is a lot like translating a foreign language until skill is developed between the spokesperson who is conveying, and that which is imparting the information. Often the communicated words seem to speak more to an intuitive part of us that receives insights like they were “thought packets,” dense packets of information that is powerfully packed within a few words.

Swirl of SmokeUnraveling and understanding the deeper meaning of the words in each thought packet requires expanding your perceptions to grasp the meaning beyond the mind’s logical interpretation. As you read the following dialogue it is best to take a few moments, as you would prior to meditating, so your inner ear is open to receiving more detail.

In the beginning of the communications from Ra, Ra is describing the state of channeling, and Ra goes on to describe the essence of the nature of intention and the connection between the human heart and mind.

The Trance State of Channeling

Kirk: Can you describe what is happening during the deep trance state that makes it possible to actually talk with non visible entities and universal frequencies, such as collective heart, or in this case the “essence of intention?”

Ra: The trance state that is entered when one moves into the state you refer to as “getting big”—an expanded consciousness state where the body feels it loses the definition from its surroundings—is when consciousness expands past the sole attention of the body and merges with a different dimension for whatever purpose the intention of your seeking has in that moment. You can consciously intend, or your higher nature may be doing the intending.

When this happens, consciousness may seem detached from the body, not the soul detached from the body. In this state, one accesses an ageless state not restricted by time and space as long as one is connected to the soul. This is similar to the state one enters prior to death of the body, however the intention here is not to create a death transition. The point here is that the being who is conveying moves into an ageless space as their conscious perceptions move one’s focus from the space-time continuum of their physical environment.

Soul gives life. Attachment gives age. Dimension shifting is how we create healing and often instantaneous healing that can ripple back into the physical. A thought energizes or creates intention, and intention can shift consciousness to access a shape shifting ability by moving one’s consciousness into vastness—vastness as a noun—or a state of getting big to access or connect and thus blend with a part of one’s multi-dimensional being. We can go further to say we can also blend with the essence of all that is when holding this expanded intention of conveying.

The Essence of Light & Dark

Kirk: From your expanded observation can you describe how this occurs?

Ra: One finds the formula for creating this state of being by looking into oneself, ardently—again, ardently as state of being—with the heart in full motion. The rhythm is attained to unlock the door to all that is witnessing its light or intention. The heart Chakra is open or expecting to receive—again a state of being not doing.

All that is as thought, light is intention. That is why thought contains darkness. That which is empty or thought, becomes full or light—meaning it is filled by intention—and heart gives it life. And life is best served in full thought and in full light by joy, laughter, and delight because those states are experienced in the now, which leads to being full of oneself or big in consciousness.

When one creates this state of being or is able to move consciousness into different dimensions to experience one’s vastness, fullness, emptiness, or whatever will serve the thought (emptiness), until the light (intention) directs the self’s affairs, agendas, desires, experiences, focus, teaching, action, reaction, creation, or intention of these when consciously directed. One is thus creating their reality rather it be consciously, or subconsciously—or perhaps it is directed through limitation or fullness depending upon the blending of thought, intention, and heart!

Fueling Intention with Attention

Kirk: Thank you. As the frequency of intention, do you have a message you would like to share with humanity?

Ra: Open the gates to other realms. Learn to heal oneself by expanding awareness into vaster dimensions so you may alter past, alter future probabilities and possibilities to create the eternal now within itself.  Now within itself is when one is truly home, it happens only once and that is all that it can be for that is what is limitless and always present.

Ra as intention brings you the strength to arrange creation, and heart will guide your light so that your purpose shall be full of one’s divinity shining like the moon reflecting the sun’s intent to go on to stir the qualities that only heart can bring into blossom. The moon reflects the sun as our reality reflects our intention, and heart is what creates the fullness.

Nature creates the wind, the water, and the air to bring knowingness of feeling to that which man creates with nature’s feelers. We shape material so that we may feel our creations.

And now it is time to refrain (rejoice) the feelers (the elements) and direct them with light (intention) so that man may celebrate the feeler’s freedom to feel fully and without fear. But to experience and feel the loyalties and wholeness that the wind, the water, that all the elements bring within our emotions to bestow heart’s full tone. Nature watches intently to serve her gifts whenever one’s intent chooses to feel full. Joy-filled emotions direct nature to fill oneself with full light while the full and rich void, or darkness, eagerly awaits instruction.

Rejoice in the elements of being human in full thought, full light, full love, knowing oneself infinitely to bring the qualities of Heaven to Earth as you ardently look within oneself to discover the magic of creation.

Why Do We Have to Work?

Why is it that we get up each morning and go to work? You may be thinking: Wouldn’t life be more enjoyable if we didn’t have a job to go to?

You may perceive the whole purpose of going to your job or work is to pay the bills. But, what if the reason you work at a skill or job isn’t just to earn money, but goes much deeper?

What if you are fulfilling some type of life purpose?

Contribution and The Discovery of Purpose

Working at a job or vocation really is innately tied to a contribution we make while living on earth, and the nudges along the way to discover a deeper inner purpose that is inherent within us.

These two ideals are evident when we examine our natural world, only to discover that everything has its own unique purpose and a place in the grand scheme of things.

Smiling Woman on BeachMankind is no different, really. Perhaps each individual has a unique purpose they are meant to fulfill. It seems when we are actualizing this aspect of our nature we feel more alive and are suffused with a sense of meaning while also feeling in harmony with the world around us.

When we are not deepening this purpose, we can toss and turn through life, sensing a profound lack of meaning and sense of disconnection. For some people, this uneasiness often pervades over their ever-waking moment.

This could make anyone wonder why it is so difficult to our inner calling to essentially identify a compatible vocation or career and actualize this inner purpose. Could the reason for this confusion be that finding and actualizing this deep intent is truly challenging and provides each of us with a continual process to learn along the way about our inherent natures?

Blocks in Creating a Meaningful Livelihood

When we look about we find almost everyone working for somebody else, and many individuals are working in jobs that feel to them like dead ends.

Some people actually look for a rich spouse or someone to take care of them and be responsible for their livelihood.

Or, due to our sometimes parental, financial, and often social conditioning, many seek instead to simply find some type of employment that allows them to meet their basic needs. When motivated by survival an individual may feel justified in working at any trade or job because they are at least productive.

Most often choices like this lead to a nagging inner voice that tells us we’re meant to do or be something else. Anyone who has taken a job purely for financial reasons can relate to this mind chatter that creates an empty feeling. So what’s the answer to this compromise?

Experiencing Life When Pursuing A Purpose

Flowers and Happy WomanCould the answer be discovered laying dormant in our being, just waiting for us to ask the right questions?

When we are passionate this creative state infuses us with energy, vitality, and drive that we lack in our lives otherwise. Most anyone who has a sense of pride or self-awareness knows how much more vital they feel when their hearts are fueled by passion. This primal, but essential, state guides us to our hearts when we can gleam our innate purpose.

Whatever that purpose is for each of us, it is never complicated. When we are pursuing this essential aspect of our nature we find motivational fulfillment and we feel very much alive and a part of our world. Our ability to attract possibility increases. We draw to us more meaningful choices. Our vocation or job ceases to be work and instead becomes an expression of our being. Creative energy moves through us, which is also a direct measurement of our ability to earn, receive, and gain recognition, and personal satisfaction along with other rewards.

Be, Do, Have

This almost sounds like a jingle! We be, we do, and we have.

From this sense of being enthused by inner passion we are assisted to do what enlivens us  and in turn our actions produce material results. Our doing provides sustenance for ourselves along with stimulating personal fulfillment.

By identifying this inner spark we find it easier to work in a vocation or a job that is also our vehicle for creating income to live—that is, unless you were born independently wealthy, or have a rich aunt that leaves you a sizable inheritance.

A Blessing in Disguise

Perhaps one of the very greatest blessing we may identify is our need to survive. It really is a catalyst that can consciously lead us to discover more about our deeper life intent and authentic self expression.

Smiling Group of PeopleThis may be called a law of nature that invites us to explore our inner passion so we may find a path that leads us and helps us discover a fulfilling vocation or career at some point in our life when we make a conscious choice to do so.

Our authentic innate being engages our creative doing, which produces for us having what allows us to thrive.

If you find yourself asking: Why do I have to go to work? Maybe you are side-tracked from asking a more useful question. Perhaps it’s time to invite your mind to ask away so you can connect to your heart to find the seeds of your passion, so you can live your purpose, be, do, have, receive, and contribute in this world full of opportunity.

You just may find opening your heart leads to great fulfillment, personal reward, a job you enjoy, and the life you were destined to live.
