Sandy Haley was inspired as a young artist by realistic drawings and portraits. Jonathan Taylor Thomas was the subject of her first inspirations. This started when her mother gave her a calendar of him, along with pencil and paper.

Later, when surfing the Internet she came across a faerie drawing and fell in love with fantasy art work and illustrations. Sandy comments, "I was about thirteen and in junior high at the time when I began drawing fantasy art. My art teachers didn't care for my art at the time. Thank goodness I didn't listen!"

Now you have an opportunity to create beautiful fantasy faerie eCards inspired by a style of art called Anime, which Sandy began incorporating into her illustrations in high school. She loves the accented eyes, hair, and body shapes (as you will see in her latest stylized Yousei-San Anime fantasy artwork).

Sandy continues, "I started by mimicking their styles, and eventually I developed my own Anime style. Every now and then, I am inspired by the artwork of others; I'm moved to incorporate what I like into my drawings. I look forward to supporting myself as an artist, like Amy Brown does. This keeps that goal firmly in front of me. I am sure with a little help from my family, friends, and fantasy art enthusiasts this goal is not as far off as it once was."
