Career

I am ready to start my healing work, just not quite on my own yet. How do I find people who can help?

I have been working as a journalist for 20 years and have finally realized I have been living someone else's dream. I live in a city I don't like. I want to move back home to be with my family and friends. What career advice can you offer? (3 minutes, 48 seconds)

Alana, I was laid off from my job back in January of this year. This was the eleventh job and the ninth lay of that I have experienced in the last sixteen years. What should I do? (5 minutes, 41 seconds)

Dearest Alana, with your encouragement I have been trying to find a career that would be ideal. I think I would enjoy energy healing, in fact I have received my Reiki 1 attunement! (3 minutes, 2 seconds)

Alana, I am a 40-year old male, Virgo, who has never been happy with any job I've had. Do you foresee me ever finding a job I will truly enjoy? Thank you. (4 minutes, 47 seconds)

I have been trying to give a direction to my professional life for a few years. I work in a place I don't enjoy very much. It doesn't give me the possibility to develop and to make a career. (4 minutes, 56 seconds)

Can you offer me guidance as to what my ideal career is--one that connects me to Universal Abundance and is perfect for my life circumstances? Thank you! (4 minutes, 48 seconds)

I am wondering if now is the time to make either a job change or to consider seriously starting my own business? Which brings me to the question of what kind of business? (5 minutes, 1 second)

There is a new position opening up at work. This position seems like a natural for me. I have some doubts about it. (3 minutes, 16 seconds)

Alana, I wonder how I am to transition to a more compassionate lifework. I feel a need to create a 'job' that supplies money to cover educational fees and start-up costs? (3 minutes, 40 seconds)

I've worked in the hi-tech, fast-paced world now for twenty years. (4 minutes, 50 seconds)

Dear Alana, how soon will it be before I am able to have a job that allows me to work in a field I enjoy and increases my prosperity?

After making a long thought out decision, my partner and I made that leap of faith, for my partner to follow his dream, leave his secure job, and trust in the universe. Working from home has not worked out. With 5 kids to feed, we are worse off now than before. Nothing seemed to turn out right. (5 minutes, 49 seconds)

How do you know what your career plans for the future should be? What do you go with your heart or your head? (2 minutes, 04 seconds)

I love my job but the abusive use of conflict and the verbal abuse from one of the co-workers has me near the end of my rope. Is there any resolution in site for the rest of us? (5 minutes, 01 seconds)

I am about to retire from my career and I got in some trouble. I need some help cause I am getting very depressed. (3 minutes, 58 seconds)

I am waiting to hear about a job that I have applied for and dearly want to get. I want to control my career but I still feel a twinge of fear about being responsible for the results of my choice. What is the best way to deal with the fear? (3 minutes, 20 seconds).

Dear sir, I have been working for other schools for the benefit of money only. I would like to start my own career. I am a teacher by profession. I head an international school. All my thoughts are worked out by others successfully. Why is this so? Should I change my attitude or change my daily routine? Please let me know.

I have recently left my job because of timing problems and have started working with another which is not too great a company and that too on a lesser salary than my previous one just for the sake of having a job in hand. When will I get a satisfactory job where I will be feeling content with my position and salary?

Hi Alana, I have been working for more than a decade at a top position and left this job this June as I kind of got saturated with the work. I am practicing Tarot reading for the last two years and have a keen interest in becoming a medium or channel. I am doing a Thetha healing course and want to take up this full time, as I am working with a company right now but it's not giving me any job satisfaction. It is important to earn as I have to run my house, but I do want to do what my heart feels like. I can't think of anything else but helping people and doing readings day and night. I am very passionate about it. I want to quit this current job too by Dec. I want to do all the courses and start full on by Feb 2010. What would your advice be? Please let me know as this is a very important career decision. I completed 35 yrs. this Dec. Please guide. Love and light.

Greetings, I have been struggling with my career for past almost two years. I have not been growing as a professional, I keep trying to change my job but never get any response. I have been stuck at this position, team leader for almost four yrs. When I joined this company, I thought it would add to my skills but the kind of work I do does not take my knowledge level up. I am looking for a change desperately. Please tell me when would I be able to change the company. When would I get promotion. Also money does not stay with me, whenever I collect some amount, one or the other problem comes and my money goes into it. I am not able to fulfill my dreams. Please guide us and tell me what is there in store for me.

Hi Alana, first of all warm good morning wishes to you. Alana, I'm a twenty nine year old young female. I'm married and actually from India. I have worked as software engineer for almost four years. I came to Australia just eight months back with my husband. I'm trying to get a job in the software field but until now I have had no success signs. But, deep down in my heart I feel that my divine life purpose is in healing, helping and teaching. When I was a child, if someone asked me what you want to be when you grow up, I would respond with great enthusiasm a 'teacher or nurse.' But, my destiny was laid out to be a software engineer. It was my father's dream. So, I couldn't say no to him, because I love him and that is why I became a software engineer. Marriage happened to be a good break from a hectic software life, but now I want to start back to support my family financially as well as regain my independence and explore new a new place. But I don't know whether I should go back and put more effort into getting a job in the software field or to start a whole new career from scratch in a new field as mentioned in the start of my question. Please guide me Alana. I am eager to hear from you soon. Bye. Mandeep.
