T-Shirts: Your Body as a Peaceful Billboard
Sometimes people think there is nothing they can do to help in cultivating world peace. Sure, they may buy "People for Peace Jeans," knowing that some of the profits go toward world peace. But you may be missing a great change to use symbols of world peace by using your body as a communication device.
Doves, symbol of peace recognized worldwide, make great t-shirt designs and make a statement about peace right on your t-shirt, with or without the use of words. The 60's peace sign is coming back into fashion as well and can be added to t-shirts, painted onto jeans using fabric paint or one of the many other uses you can think of to show your convictions.
T-shirts don't have to be only about the subject of peace, but you can still use your body as a billboard for causes your support. Endangered wildlife, save the rainforest, stop global warming, and dozens or other topics can make gorgeous t-shirts and can be found at many locations or online.
You can even state something about who you are and what you believe on your t-shirts. A Yin-Yang symbol is appropriate for someone who understands the balance of life and male / female spirits. Whereas, another person might be more inclined to putting a spouting whale on their shirt, depicting a desire to save the whales.
T-shirts also make wonderful gifts. Choose a subject that you know the recipient believes in and select an attractive design that reflects that belief. Symbols of world peace, save our rainforests, save the whale, whatever the topic, you'll find a great gift that you know will be much appreciated by your loved on.
