Online personal dating services are all the rage today. Many people are using these services to find a date. Online single personals, however, should be used with caution and common sense. The dating and singles websites may not contain listings of only singles; some people misrepresent themselves as single when they are in fact married and living with their spouse. There is some thrill to the covert computer chatter prompted from a photo personals profile.

Perhaps the reason that some people meet great friends or even mates online is that they are extremely honest, direct and forthcoming; telling it like it is will be the only way you can locate people you will want to bond with through these services.

The people who participate must pay money for most of the websites to enjoy the full services. If a person has been a member for years, that may indicate they are not telling about themselves and when someone meets them, they are disappointed.
