Scryers Who Perform Psychometry

The new term is "psychometrist," but the original title for a person who could read impressions received by touching an object was "scryer."

Much like the main character in the hit TV show "The Dead Zone," a psychic spiritual reading consists of holding an object-say the scarf of a missing person-and getting paranormal impressions from it which have helped investigators find missing-or sadly, victimized-people.

In The Dead Zone Johnny often gets his impressions by touching live people. In reality most practitioners of psychometry are helping the police solve missing person crimes or consoling a grieving relative who has recently lost someone. These people typically seek out "touch psychics" with a watch or other piece of jewelry that belonged to the deceased and only want to know if they are happy and safe now that they have crossed over. Occasionally they want to know where the treasure was buried.

Psychic ability tests preformed on the East coast showed that people who were sensitive to impressions held by objects actually got sick when they held crime scene evidence. It was also documented that these scryers appeared to experience the same symptoms of the illness that a person had died from when they came in contact with that person's belongings. Car and house keys as well as other metals like jewelry seem to work best to transfer imprints from the deceased-or missing-to the psychometrist. This is believed to be due to the frequencies of energy that metal holds and conducts. Often seers will place and object on their third eye-the center of the forehead and sixth chakra-in order to get a stronger impression. Most do not go into any kind of hypnotic trance and impressions come as short, jumbled scenes from a movie. The person having the vision can only watch. A psychic spiritual reading can comfort and provide information. You can find one near you by visiting your local new age or occult bookstore.
