Scottish Kilts for Men, Boys and Girls

When visiting Scotland you just may see Scottish men in traditional kilt attire.

These kilts created from recognizable tartans we see today were made by Scottish and English tailors during the reign of Queen Victoria.

The basic concepts of the tartan which indicates the clan, family, or regiment to which the wearer belongs has been a much longer tradition, originating in the 10th or 11th century.

Today Scottish men in traditional kilt can be seen at many formal events. Many Scot or American men with Scottish heritage enjoy wear kilts for weddings and other events. It's quite stylish for a wedding to include bagpipes and groomsmen dressed in Highland style, right down the formal Scottish kilt coat for men and the matching vest.

The wearing of the kilt is not limited to men. You'll find Scottish boy kilts in all sizes available as well as the other traditional attire. Scottish girl's mini kilts are popular for girl of all ages. If you want your children to learn about their Scottish heritage, teach them the tradition of the kilt from Scotland as well as the other traditions such as wearing the Black Dagger in the sock to show that they have nothing to hide. There is a great deal of meaning in every part of the traditional Scottish attire including the kilt, jacket, vest, belt, and even the gillies which are traditional footwear worn with the Scottish kilt.
