More than Tantra Positions: The Multi-Orgasmic Woman
"The Multi-Orgasmic Woman: Discover Your Full Desire, Pleasure, and Vitality" is a book that should be on every woman's required reading list - and the sooner in the course of one's lifetime the better. It is a revealing look at the sexual secrets every woman should know. It's much better than a book that points to tantra positions and leaves you to figure out the rest. Mantak Chia, a world-renowned teacher of the Taoist arts, and Rachel Carlton Abrams, M.D., co-authors of "The Multi-Orgasmic Couple," have put together a book that discusses a delicate, sometimes taboo, subject in an honest and very informative manner.
The book begins with a Sexual Personality Quiz that provides a welcome relief from the ever-popular magazine quiz that offers sexual solutions within the limits of a two-page article. Instead of being left to feel inadequate or having more questions than answers, this quiz is broken down into sections including sexuality, bodily comfort, sexual past, partner profile, and physical health. Based on your answers, you're not only given valuable pieces of information to help you in understanding and making peace with your current sexual condition, but you're also told what sections of the book will potentially be of the most value to you. What a great way to allow busy woman to still find time to take care of their sexual needs and desires without having to look for the proverbial "needle in a haystack!"
Twenty-four exercises, some of which are referred to as Taoist "active meditations," Healing Love Practices, and Healing Sounds, are discussed throughout the book to "help women who do not orgasm regularly to have them, women who are not multi-orgasmic to become so, and multi-orgasmic women to deepen and intensify their sex lives." The book is successful in its attempt to combine "the secrets of the ancient Eastern sexual practices with the best of Western sexual knowledge." This is one of those rare books where there's truly something for everyone to be found within its pages. While this book won't completely satisfy your curiosity about tantra positions, it will help you better understand your own sexuality. Trust me, I'm not a fan of quizzes or exercises; I'm more of an instant gratification kind of girl (no pun intended). I can honestly say that this book makes quizzes and exercises a fun part of the process.
Additional valuable information is presented by discussing the changing needs of a woman throughout the course of her lifetime, identifying sexual health problems and/or issues, and providing a lengthy appendix of common illnesses and medications that may affect sexual pleasure. No leaf in the Garden of Eden is left unturned.
You'd think that having lived in a woman's body for almost thirty-nine years I'd have already known much of what was presented in this revealing book. Was I surprised! Sure, I had all of the necessary pieces of the puzzle to keep life interesting, but I must have missed school the day the really important sexual stuff was discussed privately to the girls behind closed doors. Sadly, the topic of female orgasm still goes un-discussed in too many situations today - both within the confines of a classroom as well as under the protection of the family roof.
It's never too late to learn, though. Buy a copy of "The Multi-Orgasmic Woman" by Mantak Chia and Rachel Carlton Abrams, M.D. - - for yourself as well as for all of the woman in your life; let your significant other share your copy and soon you'll begin an enlightening, and hopefully exciting, journey into the sexually orgasmic side of your existence.
